Dear horse and hound public
My horse is an 11 year old arab. My poor boy has some issues with he's legs and has done for years. Recently a vet has diagnosed him with Osteochondrosis and he requires Hyaluronic Acid injections every 3-5 month, which seems to help, but he's still very stiff.
I never work him hard or jump on him because I don't want him to get worse. However with age, he's naturally getting worse. Majority of the time I ride him on soft ground and he's absolutely fine. Occasionally we need to go on hard ground and when we do it obvious he's got serious issues and struggles. I've always kept him barefoot as he's got good feet, but I was thinking about buying some cavello hoof boots with the gel inserts to help minimize hoof impact on hard ground. Do you think they would help??? Any suggestions are appreciated.
Cheers
