This is my Welsh Sec A yearling filly. Do you think she is suitable for showing?? Any opinions pls. We still have a bit of handling working to do, sorry the pics are just spur of the moment while we were out working in the field.

All ponies can show, some do it better than others!! lol

She is a nice type, but you will find with judges that really follow welshies do have a "type". In section A's one type is a flashy mover, pretty little head and not so much bone the other type is a real mountain pony with lots of bone and a wide head with big eyes. She is the 2nd type. Does she move straight? Being a tad cricital, she could do with having a tad longer length of rein and hasn't got the best shoulder in the world but there's a lot to like about her. :-)

How old is she? If she isnt a youngster, she could do with dropping her gut a bit as she looks a little tucked and some strapping on her bum to build it up

Thanks all for you opinions so far.

mrogers she is a yearling just turned 1 in may, i dont mind the critical opinions i need to know what im working with and what the judges will be looking for!!:) I dont want to go to the show and look totally out of place!!
I'll pop up a pic of her dam and her sire is Fayre popcorn.

I don't know much (read anything ;) ) about Welshies but I think she looks a lovely sort and defnitely worth giving it a shot - you don't know till you try and you're certainly not going to look out of place :)

Had little one going great then put the white showing halter on her and since she is refusing to trot, not sure if this is due to the new feeling of poll pressure. what to do??? any1 any quick fix tips on getting them to trot easy? :)
