Just a dumb question but it is peeing it down here in not so sunny lincolnshire. Will the XC be at risk if the ground is a mess?
I'll be gutted! My friends are coming down tongiht and we're going tomorrow.
How bad does it have to be before they'd stop it?

Would be surprised if they cancelled, and weather here not so bad in delightful Hertfordshire so maybe rain will keep moving on? Hope to go too depending on teenagers getting out of bed, so will look out for you!!

ps is there any planned meet up at a jump for HHOers? If not should we start one?

To be honest it's old park land and they have spent fortunes (far more than badders) over the years on keeping the track well maintained.

I'd be really surprised if they cancelled it. They don't let the ground get rock hard so won't get the craking and sliding problems that badders had and it's pretty good draining land to so will be muddy but not slippy.

They might change the course a bit though. Depends on the weather today ad what's forecast for tomorrow.

A news article on their site says it'll be running but bring your wellies. I'm being a fair weather specator & watching from the comfort of my sofa! Think I jinxed it as I'd been looking forward to going. No fun with dog & OH wading thru mud though!

We've just got back and it's pretty awful now let alone if it carries on raining.
We were told by someone very much in the know that if it carries on raining that it is doubtful, not for the course alone but the H & S aspect of getting ambulances and medical staff around. Keep your fingers crossed.
