Further to my thread yesterday about my boy's deteriorating behaviour, I've bought Top Spec calmer as per one suggestion. Just a concern, I've not used a calmer with him before - if there is a lameness issue going on will this mask it?? I'm in discussion with the vet about a lameness work up, and unfortunetaly the saddle fitter has now said she can't come for 2.5 weeks. I'm concerned about the interim period as he really isn't the sort to do nothing for weeks, also concerned about aggravating any discomfort, also concerned about being dumped!! Thought about lunging, but of course if we have hock issues that's not going to be good for him. Thought about long reining but noone available during the day to help me and the roads around here are very narrow and dangerous if you have an on -coming vehicle. Thanks for all who commented yesterday.

No, I shouldn't think so. It's mainly magnesium based I believe - my gelding was on it long term and he had some joint/lameness issues and it definitely didn't mask them with him x

eta: the calmer itself was amazing though!
