I do think that the excitement in his eye looked very genuine, I wonder if he actually rides in his spare time.
 
Great vid. He looked smexy in that outfit shame he bats for t'other side. He does ride in his spare time in London apparently. Don't know what yard in London tho.
 
Mmn, I like him even more now, and his voice is very relaxing to listen to, so unthreatning. I think the video and song are meant to show how a horse can raise up an ordinary little guy (as seen in the car at the start and the end) to something exceptional.

Not a big Will Young fan, but I really like this!! It's a bit of fun and such a sweet video, don't care if he's not technically correct etc, etc. And didn't he look smart!! Guess some blokes can get away with wearing jods........

Yes, there's loads of mistakes but surely it's just a bit of fun???

The fact it's called 'Grace' as well - reminding non horsey people how graceful horses can be.

I think the showjump at the end is a bit of rebellion from the geek character he plays?
 
tbh i dont think either will or katie are doing our sport any justice,,they show people riding horses yes but thats about it,,they make it look as if its easy and not expesive at all,,i know people will disagree but if you think about it basically every one who has a horse has to work rreally hard to feed it pay its livery etc whereas they can both EASILY afford it,,yes they are promoting our sport but not in the way we need it promoted,,:)

I am interested to see you have used the word 'our' in your post. Firstly dressage is a sport for ALL and everyone actually performs basic dressage every time they ride their horse. simply moving off in walk is a dressage movement, going from walk to trot is dressage etc.

Secondly, how do you think the sport needs promoting if this sort of publicity IYO is not the way to go.
 
how many different horses were used in the video? or a very talented horse to change from about 16hh - 17.2!
wasn't will doing the canter/jump.
a black stallion local to Addington was used with his rider... thats all i'll say.

i loved the video, esp the red bridle, gigglesfor all horsey people and a fun insight to non horsey people. so this is definately not a dig.
well done Will.... what a legend. at least he brushed the horse first!
didn't see him pick its feet out though! haha

Are the BHS not going spare at the fact there is no gloves or hats for lunging? I would have thought that with the price it took to make that video they could have taken out some of the glaring mistakes. But no I'm impressed and its giggles for my boyfriend and me when we should be writing essays!

10/10 for effort.

Dont think he was the one jumping or cantering as the horse was in an outline in the canter, and if you notice, there were no shots of the horse wen he was riding! But he's definately shooting up in my opinion. With this and his amazing interview on Top Gear, i may have a new favourite pop star!

Have just seen the vid for the first time and although I have absolutely no clue why on earth he chose this as the subject it did make me smile and I enjoyed it. Oh and he makes aa heck of a lot better fist of it that KP ever did. Good on you Will.
 
I loved the song! I was even more impressed when I saw it on the TV and he was riding! I think this is a great promotion for the sport. After reading some of the comments about his riding, I think it's awful, most people who watch this video know nothing about horses, therefore don't care! Will Young deserves 10/10 for trying, no one knocks Katie Price for her riding, Yes she maybe better, however she also has an amazing horse who does everything for her!
