Will a Jeep Cherokee 2.4 sport tow a horse trailer? I have a 14.2hh pony.

I've got a 2.5 diesal and tow 2 with it!

No probs - just don't make the mistake I did when i first got mine. They are in 2wheel drive instead of 4x4 (I've always had permant 4x4 in the past), hitched up for the first (on grass) and skidded all the way across the lawn - the swearing was immense, and I was nearly on the phone to the garage until a friend point the 2 wheel drive thing out to me!

I have towed a HB510 with 2 big horses in it and it was fine.

Yes I tow a Ifor Williams 510 with my jeep cherokee LTD 2.5 and it tows a breeze, I love my jeep.
