After reading the local freebie rag at lunchtime and reading an article on WFP, how gobsmaked was I when I discovered he lives down the road from me???

I'm such a muppet for not realising he was so close. Anywho was wondering if said WFP does lessons or clincs for normal folk, if so how do I get in contact with him? Also has anyone had a lesson/clinic with him and if so what is he like, what does he charge? It would be fab (even if we only ever have one) if there was the opportunity to have a lesson with him! Thankies

even ifhe doesn't usually teach ordinary mortals, he might be open to a bit of persuasion if you offer to make a sizable "children in need" donation etc

Anyway I have never met anyone locally that he teaches. He does have a website though. Maybe you should ask, he can only say no.

The web address is: http://www.foxpitteventing.co.uk/

jeez i think i need to win the euro millions this week...

I think considering the normal BHS Instructor can charge anything from £20 to £45 an hour then the WFP of £100 sounds reasonable - do you reckon you could use one of his horses lol

That means you live just down the road from me too then! Well, when I used to live in Dorset that is! I used to hack really near to his yard! I often wondered if I could accidentally turn up at his claiming my horse had bolted but the cob I used to ride wouldn't go faster than trot unless he was feeling really keen.

And then I saw him at Badminton and he was a little bit rude to a very small child in awe of him...

afaik he charges £100 an hour, i could be misinformed though. he's obviously very busy with a lot of horses to ride, and training his own working pupils etc, so i guess his time is at a real premium.

No he doesn't! At least, that's not what ColouredFan was paying for her lessons, £40 IIRC, could have been £45, def under £50 though as I know she got more than one from the vouchers she won through JAS.

May well have to have a word with colouredfan then! I was thinking (hoping more like lol) it may be around the £50 mark. Thanks!

I like the picture of Zara and Pippa "interested" in his club - more like both of them going "how does he get away with charging that" and "I wish I had thought of that..."
