First I want to say a huge thank you to the Buntines and all their team, they were still going strong after 4 days of competition and the icing on the cake was their daughter winning the pony trial.

Did her best dressage yet! to score 35 in a hard marking section (highest makr was 31.5)
Rolled a pole SJ and clear XC in the time to finish 6th. Got a lovely purple rosette which matched her travel boots and the tape we use for her XC boots!

I've seen more bend in an ironing board!, her dressage wasn't bad, just not really good, scored 46 which was a bit harsh compared to some other tests I saw, horse before her did a lovely test, it usually scores low 30's and also scored 46, perhaps they suffered for being last 2 before lunch, who knows. Floss will see physio this week to check her out.
SJ, again rolled a pole where she argued into an upright and clear XC in the time to finish 13th.
They both have next weekend off then they move up to Novice (where the dressage will be a little less influential) for the JRN season.
There was a horrid accident at the end of the day where a horse went galloping through the lorry park, straight past me, I was leading 2 in headcollars! Saddle slipped round under it's tummy. I have never seen a true bolt before and it was really scary, the horse was terrified, it went straight out of the gate, girth partly broke and saddle fell off, stud girth still attached to martingale flapping round it's legs. Ran all the way down the drive and bolted round Oasby village, apparently it went round in a circle and the helpers that went after it caught up with it as it was on it's way back.
Don't know if it was hurt, if so don't think it was too bad as they were bringing it back to the event.
We picked up the saddle, numnah etc and left them with the secretary, with the advice that it should be loooked at by a saddler having seen the horse gallop over it!
