took some pics of willow today- she will be one in two weeks time. :)

she had her first bath yesterday.. although you'd never know it!! she came in muddier than ever today!! started pulling her mane... 1/4 down, 3/4 left to go!!

she's by puzzles limited edition, out of my own p.b.a mare.

critique gladly recieved- good and bad! ;) not the best pics, as she was loose and kept coming to see what i was up to!

Ah what a cutie, nice photos ! It's good to see photo's of other yearlings mine will turn 1 on 12th July but at the momnet he looks like 4 different animals all stuck together ! I have lots of photo's of his ear or his muzzle where he comes to investigate the camera!!

PS one of those animals is a mud hog - I may be brave and follow your lead re the bath :-)

thanks for the lovely comments! she does have a very pretty face! :) she has a lovely temperament, and is very bold, affectionate and friendly.

she was so well behaved for her bath- wandered in circles for two mins then realised she might as well give up, and i bathed her tied up by myself from then on! :D

i love her colour too- its a change from the norm- just hoping the judges will think so too! ;)

Hi :)

I was just browsing the forum and came across your gorgeous girl. I have a filly by Puzzles too. She was born May 15th 2010 - I'd been wanting a foal by him for a while, kept checking the website, kept in touch with Linda and then Colourville Diva was born on my wedding day.

Had to buy her....was an omen haha!

I collected her last November as a weanling and fall more in love with her every day.

We've been out showing this season and she's been placed every time, and I hope to event her in future.

How's your girl getting on? Please post some more pics of her! I'm not very good with this forum but will post some pics soon as I can figure out how to - in meantime Iva is on Whitegate's foals 2010 page if you'd like a look.

:D hello!

thats so nice to hear! your filly is only just about a month older than Willow then! sisters from the same Mr! :p

i remember seeing pics of diva on the website- she looks lovey! (and much bigger than Willow!)

are you on Facebook? i have plenty of pics of willow on there! ;) be nice to see some of your little lady too!

my friend had a mare at puzzles at the same time, so willow lives with her half sister at the moment- they are very different, but the best of friends. :D

on her body?! sorry... having a blonde moment...???

pics are from june so she has much more hair now... fur ball! :p

she is perfect for the farrier. she has days when she is a bit of a stroppy "teenager" with her hinds, but nothing a growl doesn't put a stop to! :p

i do think she is very pretty- just like her mamma! :D

Just a word of warning, especially with youngsters. Feeding from a haynet developes the wrong neck muscles, those under the neck when you want the top line to be stronger. I know it is a pain feeding off the floor but you could always use a tub cliped to the wall if necessary. Obviously she is your horse & it is your right to manage her how you like, but it is just something to be aware of.

Shes beautiful :). Absolute stunner. I do agree with the above poster re feeding hay/haylage. But as she says its everyones choice and I'd never thought of it before until someone brought it up on the forum (such a useful place :)) and I did some research :). Good luck for the future with her, shes so pretty :D

thanks magic and becca:

if she has hay on the floor she paws it through her bed, or if out then lies on it and toilets in it. :(

she had loose hay on the floor when in the other night and never ate any of it- it all had to go on the muck heap as it was trashed and full of pee and poo! our hay is precious so cant afford to waste any! :(

im not worried about her neck- my mare was very weak through the neck as a youngster, but this resolved itself as she matured.

she does pull the hay out in a downwards motion though, not in an upwards one, so im not too fussed. ;)
