Ok, had 2 ops 3 weeks ago and I am now sooooo bored! I have been told not to ride again for another 3 weeks but I feel fine. I really, really want to get on my horse so any reasons why I shouldn't and does anyone have any spare willpower I could borrow?

Don't do it!!!!
Can you imagine if you rode now and then you did something to yourself, then you might have to go through all the rest again!!

echo above - annoying but use the time to pull manes tidy up winter fluff wash brushes etc - you will be all ready for spring! I know as i rode 4 weeks after having my arm wired back together (not supposed to ride for 6 months) and i made the scar so much worse.

It's taking all my willpower to stop myself riding my horse

Vet said she was going to re-assess her in April and I had high hopes of bringing her home and riding her again then, but just this morning I managed to gather enough willpower and courage to ring the vet and ask her to come out to do her jabs and take a look at her this week, before I give her another nine months off.
No willpower going spare here, but just be glad it's only three weeks and not three months!!

totally agree with above im afraid Stropster.....last thing you need is to hurt yourself some how and then cant ride for a yr or something....ekkk!!
Hollyoaks is pretty good at the moment....either that or find someone who can carriage drive....thats just as good as riding but a little less dangerous if recovering from an injury...
