Hi

Am looking for a "sympathetic" instructor in the Wiltshire area. Have a couple of horses that are spending most of their time hacking when they are capable of much more. My nerves and lack of self ability are holding us back.

I don't need pampering, just need gentle encouragement at my age!!

Have transport so can travel for the right person.

Any suggestions, recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks Guys!!

If you are on the glos/wilts border Sarah Stewart at New Ho Stables in Long Newnton is very nice, if you google it she has a website.
Sophie Dickinson in Bradford on Avon is also very good
There is also Robert Stevens in Minety, Jonathan Bowman in Leigh near Minety, they both have websites. It depends what you want to do as to who would be more suitable.

Neil Spratt is fantastic and teaches from novice through to competitive riders.

I have learnt so much from him and gained loads of confidence. He is a really nice bloke, I've just bought a youngster from him. Based near Purton, Swindon.

I second Sophie Dickinson she is fab. Have been having lessons with her for about 4 years. Taken me and my boy from him barley being able to canter a 20m circle to working on changes and looking at doing our first medium test x
