Our JRT bitch is 8 months old now and is most of the time the usual bouncy, playfull puppy. She is sociable with other dogs and will play happily with my freinds lab, however she will change all of a sudden and pee and cowers when he starts bounding around towards her (having chewed his ears and allowed him to stand all over her!!!!). We take her out and about all the time to shows and stuff, the problem is if she bumps into something she will scream ad pee herself like you have trod on her (causes lots of sharp looks, I can tell you). The other day I took her for a walk in the woods and she rushed under the gate as I was going through and it didnt even touch her and she screamed and peed. I can understand if we beat her, but we don't and it's always her doing it to herself!!!!!!!!!! She is just bolshy one minute and on the floor in a submisive pool of piss the next, hardly the rufy tufty little terrier i was expecting. She managed to chase a small rabbit a week or two ago and it turned sharp and pushed past her - again - she squealed ad came crawling back to me. There is nothing physically wrong with her and I might add that this wimpishness goes hand in hand with sneakyness ... How can i toughen her up? Some competition perhaps?
