Win a pony

I think there's a thread in latest news about it.

I wonder if you get free pink accessories with it....?!

It's been mentioned in the news forum - you don't actually 'get' a pony to keep, it's access to a riding school and pony for a year plus £300 to spend on riding gear.

Very misleading.

TRADING STANDARDS!

My son has a blue bridle, but has asked for a blue sythetic saddle for xmas.. it has a catroon pony on it . Of course, my daughter wants the pink one.

I guess if it's fun for kids it's great, but I'm not 100% on the thought of a barbie numnah...

I don't know about misleading, it could only be done that way these days, as that's the only responsible way to offer "a pony" as a prize.

Though I remember when I was a kid, competitions to actually win a flesh and blood pony were quite common ... what were people thinking??? ... a pony aint exactly a goldfish

I think the claim is unreasonable, not the fact that you don't actually get a real pony!

But then Win [access to] a pony [for a year] doesn't quite have the same appeal.

EAAAKKK! Text speak!!!!!

It's a bit of fun, maybe mileading but I know I would have KILLED for a prize like this at 11/12.

As for pony decked in pink *gulp* it's fun,no law says horses/[onies have to wear boring colours at all times.
All the "bling" tack is a bit too much for me but why not if it's to your taste?

Pink's good for the under eights, I happened to see a very small daughter of a very famous person who shall remain nameless with pink clobber yesterday!
I think once they hit pony club and want to be taken seriously, it may be time to lose the pink tack. I'm afraid brightly coloured accessories are still in though, and were even when I was young, which is about a million years ago, even though then it was red or blue, basically LOL.
I have one in royal blue and one in purple, but that's strictly rugs and bandages, you understand, numnahs, and at a push, browbands for high days and holidays. We Do Not Do Bling!
