We have recently bought a 15 year old show pony and he did have a few windgalls. He has recently seemed to have acquired a few more, and I was wondering if anyone has advice on how to stop them occurring? He is not ridden heavily at all and he is ridden in stretch and flex boots front and back, and his legs are cool hosed after exercise, he has several hours turnout a day with turnout boots on. someone suggested magnetic boots as his legs do tend to swell so apparently these boots would stop this and theyalso mentioned something about reducing windgalls? Any help/advice would be very much appreciated!!

Uncortunately there isn't much you can do for windgalls and I wouldn't worry about them as they rarely cause a problem
Magnetic boots may well help both the windgalls and the puffy legs

If you need them to go downs bit for a show you can bandage the night before. Not meaning to insult anyone but do make sure person doing bandaging is experiences as they can cause serious damage if not done correctly
