Windgalls

Hope that is spelt right!

Harry has what i have ben told are Windgalls on his back legs, they are 'lumps' but squash down if you press them. What exactly are they? They dont bother him or anything

Windgalls are usually just through wear and tear and no cause for worry unless your horse is unsound. Here are a few pages for you..

I use magnet boots on my 17yo mares windgalls and that helps to keep them down overnight when she is stabled.
Global Herbs do a supplement that is meant to reduce the swelling but no idea if it works well or not as I have never tried it.
