Just after some advice really.

Boyo has windgalls on his hind legs, had them for a few years and not causing him any lameness or discomfort.
Being careful with his workload with the ground being so hard right now, but just wondered if anyone had any top tips on how to manage them.

I'm on my third horse that I've bought with windgalls!! Each horse had them for years before I bought them. Never had a problem with them. I never clatter my horses around on hard ground so I've never treated the windgalls in any way.

Mine developed them after I started regularly doing poles, small jumps with him (previously much more of a pure dressage horse). Cold hosing really helped, but what has totally made them disappear is regular use of Ice Vibe boots (with the ice wraps in them) for 10mins after each session. They are very expensive, but I got them on sale and they have made such a difference to his legs. They are super tight and slim now and he dozes whenever I put them on, so I'd assume he is enjoying the sensation :)

I bought some cheaper ice wraps on Amazon and they worked.

Another quick method is to apply a soaking wet bandage, loosely, for 20 -30 minutes
