Windmills - your experiences please

Do you mean a windmill as in Norfolk or a wind turbine generator as in new technology wind farms? Pointless question really as I've no experience of either but I have ridden past wind turbines and neds weren't worried at all.
 
It shouldn't have impact on the animals. We have a windmill literally just outside the yard and the first time it was going round when I took Penny out I was convinced she'd freak (I thought the sails going round at that speed was pretty scary... they're really big!) but she didn't bat an eyelid. I think its like anything really, if they have exposure then they're fine but if they've never seen it they may well spook (especially if they are on).

With regard to safety etc, I've seen fields here with horses, cows, sheep etc and windmills in them and its no problem as the sails are a really long way off the ground.
 
Thanks a lot, just someone is wanting to put a windmill up in the field next to mine so they can generate elec for their house and was worried as we use the fields for both horses and cows.
