Over the last couple of weeks I have been trying to sell a much loved 13hh pony (I did advertise him on HHO!).
He is very realistically priced and although I knew the current situation would make it difficult - I had no idea quite how frustrating it would be for me and upsetting for my daughter.

As a result of my ads (which includes an honest description and photos) I have had a number of requests, including from a producer and have sent on further photos and/or details as quickly as possible.

So why after doing this at their request, has only one person bothered to reply or confirm reciept of my messages?
Surely its not too difficult to confirm a PM/emails arrival? While I completely accept the horse or pony may not be suitable is it too much to expect a thanks, but no thanks?

To the people who havent replied to my emails: How you would feel if you were selling a very loved pony and you were left with silence?
How would explain to your daughter who is going up and down that people might/might not be interested?
How would you feel if it was you trying to sell?

So, next time you ask for more information, put yourself in the shoes of the seller, think how you'd feel and please say thank you.
To the person who did reply, many thanks.

I know exactly where you are! We sold a much loved pony this summer, and went through a lot of silly e mails and phonecalls. I was really despairing, when the nicest "normal" family turned up and bought on the spot. We now stay in touch now and again, and have been to see the pony once, so keep calm and carry on. I totally agree with your comments. There are many people with bad manners around, but there are still some good ones too. Did you try the pony club website? Its really cheap and generated loads of calls for us (although some were nutters!!). Good luck.
