Fill me in?

Not looking at all for another horse, just lusting...so I'm safe... Even if she was an unrideable nutjob, she's worth that price as a broodmare!

Why no pictures of her ridden I wonder. Sold straight from the field always puts the hebbie jebbies up me. Especially when they are fully clipped and from the field!

Do a post on Ricki Gradley - see what response you get!

I dont think theres anything dishonest about a £900 price tag. It basically says im cheap for a reason. Its obviously not because she lacks talent, more likely to have some serious behaviour problems.
You never know there could be some nutter out there who could work with that horse but personally I wouldnt touch it with a barge pole!

The advert basically tells you she's a light hack, retired from higher level competition but I payed £4k for a horse, 5 stage vetted, from a 'reputable' dealer who's exactly that AFTER working through behavioural problems! WBs out of work are never really simple.
If I had the pennies, I'd definately look & have a vet tell me WHAT was wrong

Look at it this way - the person in question is a dealer i.e he buys/sells horses for a living so why would he sell a horse like that for £900 (or whatever it was) WITH tack?? I'll tell you why - because he has no chance of getting anymore for it and would obviously be grateful to just get shot of it. If it was that great he'd compete it for a month or two and sell it for 5 times that amount. He is not somebody that lets money slip through his fingers easily. He is very shrewd and lets just say he hasn't got this far by allowing morals to ruin a good deal.
Too good to be true is usually exactly that.

"Even if she was an unrideable nutjob, she's worth that price as a broodmare!"

Oh dear.. this is exactly why we have fallen behind the breeding regimes of the continent - people do not seem to realise that breeding from an "unrideable nutjob" is unwise. If we only bred from sane, sensible, sound horses that proved themselves in their dicipline then there would be less poor unsound/insane animals changing hands with people like this.

This is more my cup of tea:

And this:

Although it took me a while to realise they're not the same horse (mane on different sides... same brand though!)
I briefly worked with some Ovelar horses and the top chap is very similar to a lovely one I sold. Me want!
