Windsor Park surface

Thinking of going to WPEC for the meet on the 7/8 April. Never jumped there before, is it on a surface or grass?

Is that the Windsor Park Sjing Club?
Im thinking of joining this summer, and I know SAF has competed there too.

Might be worth us coming too, esp if its on a surface, although even jumping on grass might be helpful in prep for the eventing season.

Dont they have a website? I am pretty sure its on grass, if its the windsor SJing im thinking of.

You ridden that lovely boy again?

All on grass - although they do claim to water if required, specially in the main ring., and do sometimes cancel the whole meet if it is too wet - or too hard later in the summer.

Its 3 grass rings on a slight slope and the dressage rings are flat at the end with lorries parked between the two, polo sometimes goes on opposite, made for a very lively Saf on one occassion last year

Sounds like we could be in for a fun summer then...will start filling the lorry with alcohol for the picnics, inbetween the jumping lol

BB's aw, I am going to the trainers to ride him next saturday. Thought id go there once a week to get used to him, and see how he's coming along.

We should definately have a Windsor meet this summer. Lots of alcohol, and a BBQ.

I think I have nothing planned for the 7/8th so will look out the schedule and see what/if we can do anything.

After Stilemans cancelled and now missed entries for Portman may give the eventing a miss as moving yards again, not by choise but the owner no longer wants a livery yard so we are all having to go at the end of the month

Once we settle again may enter something but in the mean time its SJ

Looking forward to Windsor Park looks like there will be a few of us, how will we fit the jumping in

lovely venue, nice old fashioned fences-nothing spooky. great day out for any old interested relatives as they can park by the ring and watch from the car lol.plenty of room for picnics too. i think i'm going on the 7th.

Last year ring 1 started 1.05 then New and up and ring 2 Bn, Disc and up and ring 3 unafil or juniors.
