I have a lovely little ex polo pony for rehoming, he's only 8 and in every way perfect to keep as a happy hacker BUT he windsucks ... he doesn't do it a lot and he rests his chin on other horses if the fence isn't wooden and sucks in so no damage to his teeth or fence but I had a windsucker die on me once and it put me off for life. I am torn because in every other way I adore him. What to do ?

Just so you know I help rehome polo ponies and this chap was to be shot as he was too slow for polo and his knees couldn't take the fast twists and turns but for hacking he is fine.

Does he have ulcers? Why do they do it, there is so much information on the internet.

He is a good weight, eating well, outside 24/7 unrugged but hard feed once a day and is plump and happy.

Please help me decide what to do, I have lots of lovely homes lined up for him but my heart is telling me to keep him ......
