Windsucking/Cribing

there are lots of posts on this , you can do a search to find them. however, you need to get your horse checked out by a vet as cribbing can be associated with ulcers and is also supposed to be linked to stress so if your horse is uncomfortable he may crib for relief. if you have had him checked then there are some feed supplements which may help as they combat the acidity in the stomach which is sometimes a cause of cribbing. i used to use settlex on my mare and it seemed to help a bit but now i just keep her in a different way, as much turn out as poss, plenty of hay when in the stable and DONT feed any sort of mints as treats and it is much less. i dont think you can ever stop them completely(my opinion) and again,my opinion, i dont like the use of a coller to stop them as i think it causes them more stress. hope this helps a bit.....good luck
