First of all, who's going? I'm there on the Sunday for the Pre-Novice and Novice - look out for a 14.1 ginger, and a 16.3 ginger with a pea on top!

Also, bearing in mind people say the ground can get hard, what do you reckon the ground is going to be like with all this rain?

I'm excited as it means I've gone Novice in a season

and it's my first Novice, neddy's first Novice, and ponio's first PN

all exciting stuff.

Talking of first Novices...is anyone there on Sunday who'll walk the course with me? I know I could walk it on my own, but I'd still prefer a wiser pair of eyes

I'm there on saturday for the intro, probably my last this season unless I do a last minute entry for Oasby! Don't think I would be much help walking a novice course lol, good luck!

I'm there in the Novice on Sunday. Managed to scrape a late entry after the entries had closed (was VERY nice to the sec

) but she only had room in the Nov, not the IN. It's all about trying to find new steering and brakes so who knows?

I hope it isn't cancelled too but I'm not holding out much hope as there's a lot of rain forecast down the east side of the country Thurs/Fri. I would run even if it was very deep or heavy (as long as safe) as my horse likes mud and could do with a bit of anchoring!

The start of the course runs across stubble, so I would keep an eye on the website as it will be very very wet.

Ha ha - it's supposed to be stubble, but if it's anything like here there's a very good chance that it's still standing corn
