First up, Socks in the intro, did a fab dressage for a mark of 30, then did a fab clear round SJing
(i have a great pic of him flying the first fence, which i'll try and post later).. then onto the XC.. we've been having trouble with steps, up or down them he doesn't seen to know what to do with his feet, but that all seems to be sorted now, as he flew up and over all the steps (and there seemed to be alot of them).. we were almost near the end of the course having had a lovely ride, down two steps along an alleyway which opened out into a steepish field, the PN fence was straight infront of you, the novice slightly to the left, and the intro was a full-hight/skinny/into-space tyres round to the right with NO wings.. may i remind you that we're doing the INTRO here!!! needless to say we didn't get over it, the PN and novice fences were easier/more inviting!!.. i'm soo angry with myself more than anything, as i walked the XC early before anything started and i should have complained!!! If there had been xmas trees beside it i'm sure it would have been ok!! I spoke the the TD (who i know) and he said that they were going to, but they never got round to it!!!
If only i'd complained before the start of the XC i'm sure they would have put some xmas trees there!!
Socks would have won or been highly placed, as he was motoring on well and feel he would have made the time!
Next up Orla in the PN.. also very pleased with her dressage for a score of 28
she then had 2 down SJing, which isn't as bad as it sounds, as fences were falling left right and centre, she then went fab for another clear XC with only 5 time faults, not good enough for a rosette, but she did her first ever PN last Fri clear XC, her second PN on Tues clear XC and her third PN on Sat clear XC, 3 events in 8 days!!
i think someone deserves an easy few days!!
