Want to invest in a wintec dr. saddle whilts we are waiting for Sol's m2m saddle to arrive.
On a limited budget so wintecs look like a plan but which of the 3 models do people reccomend the most ?

Thanks

Don't like the 500 - I have one but is is collecting dust after 2 uses - I just found it uncomfortable!
Have sat in Isobell and found the position a little "extreme" if that makes sense?
Not sat in the pro so can't comment. I ended up with a saddle company dressage as a lower cost alternative...
Let me know if you want to give my 500 a new home!

We have Isabels on both our horses and I really like them. The position does feel a bit extreme, as mentioned above, until you get used to it, but ithey're really comfy.

Am going to go against the grain and say that I like my 500. It's not a bad saddle for the price, as loing as it fits your horse. It suits my short backed, low withered cob fine, never had any problems with his back after 2 years. As far as comfort goes, it's ok, not as comfy or as deep as my friend's Falcon (that I had to borrow a few times to try

) but then that's the difference £700 can make

Would agree i have got a 500 VSD and i quite like it really for the money!

I loved my 500, rode in it for years as my happy hacker saddle on my cob - in the end he outgrew it. Not ridden in the others. I guess so long as the fit is good on the horse, it's a cheap option, especially as you are looking at it short term. I sold mine on ebay for £60, it was nine years old, one careful lady rider!

I have a wintec 500 GP and I find its comfortable enough and has done the job. Having just bought the horse I was really looking for a cheap option that fitted.

Now a few years on I've been saving and am going to invest in a new leather dressage saddle, but will be keeping my wintec for everyday use.
