Wintec/Bates Saddle question

For those of you that have owned/used both, what is the difference between the Bates jumping saddle and the Wintec CC jumping saddle, other than the price and that the Bates in leather?

Is there a difference in comfort etc

I've owned both - they are identical

However leather seat has more "give" and is slightly comfier. Plus I got a weird static effect on the synthetic, which I really didn't like

Don't think made any difference to the horse

Ok thanks for that, I was looking at them both the other week when I went to Ride-Away, had a sit on them and well they felt the same and they look pretty much like they are made the same, other than ones leather, just wondered if there was a difference in fit/comfort etc as well.

Synthetic is harder, definately.

Not sure how true this is but the saddler told me some of the bates (the more expensive versions of the jumping saddles) are a different shape and fit to the wintec and caprilli, either that or she was trying to sell me the more expensive one
