Hi all!

Saddlers local to me don't fit second hand saddles-you have to buy them and then get one to come and fit it to your horse. So, it has the potential to be an expensive mistake if you end up getting something in that just can't be fitted to your horse. So I thought I would ask:

How does the Wintec 500 compare to the 250 (dressage models). I currently have her in a 250 but need something a little more supportive for me and my bad back. Also, it'll just be nice to have a bit of an upgrade as the 250 is a very basic saddle and it's going back to my friend :) Or any of the Wintec dressage really. Does anyone have experience with them? What I'd really love would be for a Bates Innova to fit perfectly and be all mine but while I technically could afford one second hand, I need to be a bit money conscious.

Cheers everyone!

I like the Isabel Werth but in your shoes I would phone around to find a saddler to come to you with a selection of saddles to try even if you have to pay a call out fee.

I've got a Wintec Pro for sale cheaply, its the newer version and has pretty big blocks. I'm fairly sure its supposed to be the synthetic version of the Innova. Its never going to fit mine and I am sick of it taking up space in the spare room!

I absolutely loved my isabel worth. I've got a slight bluge in one of my discs and I found it comfy. Sadly had to sell it as it didn't fit my new one.

wintec pro is lovely and very comfy. I couldn't get on with the isabelle werth version as found it irritated my bad back. I have a wintec 250 and the pro is very similar in shape just suede with better knee rolls and more support.
