Hiya! I have a Wintec VSD which I have to say I really quite like for several reasons. It fits my boy really well, I find it very comfy to ride in and it doesn't take much to look after. Thing is I have been told by my dressage trainer that it's too big for me (I've lost loads of weight since I bought it) and it doesn't do my position any favours when I'm schooling. I only really school once or twice a week incuding my lesson so a dressage saddle isn't going to get a great deal of use. (I'm far too scared of competing ) so my question is, is it worth buying a dressage version of the wintec 500? All opinions will be gratefully recieved ta!

If you're only doing flatwork, and it sounds like you need a new one anyway... why not give one a try? (:
I used to have a Wintec Pro dressage saddle, was lovely!

I kind of miss it, and normally I hate synthetic saddles!

I bought my wintec dressage saddle on ebay for about 120 pounds, its absolutely fantastic and i ride in it loads and its very comfy.
I don't do much schooling but i use it hack in and friend has even jumped in it a couple of times

I had the Wintec 500 (just sold it on ebay) and now have the Wintec isabella werth. The 500 was very comfy and did the job well, however now im getting more into this stressage malarky Im finding the isabella much better for my position and comfier. Just for prices I sold the 500 on ebay this week for £170 , think new they are around the £300 mark. Bought my isabella for £300, perfect condition, new they are around the £600 mark i think!

I've had the isabella for years and love it... really comfy and secure and my boy can do a good rodeo show when he feels like it. Has worn really well and i school and compete in it. Only thing I would change is next time I would go for the CAIR as opposed to flock. Have got the bates CAIR GP and its sooo light!!

I recently got one the pro version and must say its great. If you can afford the extra the Isabella is worth the extra. My friend has one and thats even better than mine to ride in. Makes such a difference to my riding

I have the Isabelle dressage saddle - and absolutely love it. I have the flock one, rather than Cair - and my mare much much prefers this to the cair 2000 I was using before.

Very comfy - and I do all my hacking in it
