What are these like? And I understand it has CAIR and the gullet may be changed? Ive never been a fan of synthetics however have one for my cob (it was the only one to fit) which is actually very comfy!

I need a dressage saddle for my TB now (for eventing dressage) - he is the one who Ive moaned about being very short in the back (if the seat is too long, he basically throws me off straight away!). Im a 17" however Im thinking, to be safe - should I get a 16.5" for him?????

Yeah, it might be a bit small for me but then I think thats the only way to get away with it for him! Its difficult for me to try them though as unfortunately my saddler seems to have fled the country a few months ago and the only saddler we have to travel to (which I dont fancy, Id rather try at home in case he does bronc me off which is likely!), and they're over an hour and a halfs drive away. and I dont even think they do Wintecs.

I really want one but am worried the ONLY one which will fit him (and me!) will cost a fortune. When I tried out GP's, the only one to fit him was also one of the most expensive but I had no choice. However since I only intend to use the dressage one for events and lessons mainly, I cant spend too much on it.

Have you tried the Wintec ones? How deep is the seat on them?

I have an Isabel, and its my second (2 different horses), I really like them. As the stirrup bars are further back than most it can take some getting used to if your balance isn't right, I would definately have another. I could've afforded a more expensive saddle this time round but still plumped for the Isabel.

May be worth looking at the saddle Company saddles - I was chatting to one of their fitters and they are able to cut the pannels which lie on the horses back away a bit (so giving what for the horse is a 16.5" say but leaving you with a 17" seat).
