Just bought a new Wintec saddle off a lady (very rude one) but been looking for one for ages plus it was cheaper as it came without two screws.
Obviously she didn't tell me until I collected! But anyway now I'm stuck as the gullet inside has two screws tightly screwed but the two top outer gullet screws are missing. I'm wondering how the screws are kept in am I looking for screws and washers ? Or are they just screws and they get screwed in?! So stuck and confused!

I think they will be screws and washers if you're talking about the screws that you can see on the inside edge below the pommel? Try a tack shop that sells the gullets - maybe they'll carry spares?

The screws are quite distinctive, so I would definitely recommend getting them from a proper stockist. If they are not right it could be unsafe or uncomfortable for the horse.

Contact bates or your local bates stockist - they do a replacement pack. However, if it is the outer screws I would not worry too much, the saddle is still safe to use and will do no harm to your horse, its just there to back up the velcro that holds the outer material in place. The inner screw are important structurally as these hold the gullet in place
