wintec gullets

There are 2 screws on the underneath of the pommel, you unscrew those and directly below are another two, take those out too.

You can get the gullets from most tack shops, on the internet or ask around as lot's of people with wintecs will have many of the sizes (I know i do!!)

I think Red is wide and white is extra wide if i'm correct?

Hope this helps :)

To be honest it's a very simple thing to change the gullet.

All you need is a cross head screwdriver, a 'stubby' one is ideal as you can get into the screws easier. As has been said, turn the saddle upside down on your lap, pull the flap out of the way & it exposes two screws, one either side of the front of the saddle gullet. Unscrew them & put them safe. Then you will see a screw in either end of the coloured gullet, unscrew them & put those screws with the other two previously removed. The gullt will then come away. The saddle will be all floppy now as there is nothing holding it in shape. Take your new gullet & put it into position & put the screw into either end & tighten up. Once done put the other two screws into place & then pull the flap back over to hide the gullet & the jobs done. It really is that easy.

The main thing to be careful of is ensure the screws go in correctly, if you cross thread them then that causes you a problem you could do without.

The previous poster is right on the gullet colours, red is wide & white extra wide. They cost around £15 each new however you may well pick one up off ebay for much less. You don't need the gullet to be new, a used one will amply do the job. Good Luck. :)
