Wintec Isabell werth anyone????? Also in CR

Had one for a year and really didn't like it!

I found it really uncomfortable to ride in and hard to school in as your leg is locked in 1 position and its hard to move it out of the position. So great if your horse does everything on auto pilot but hopeless if you wanted to move you leg back to encourage lateral movement or something.

Also the saddle we bought gave my horse a bad back, it took us a year to figure out that it was definetly the saddle not some other factor and this was after having had it fitted by a saddler 3 times.
Looking at the saddle I thought the tree was slightly twisted but the maufactuers and saddler (who isn't the best but onl;y one in our area, plus he sold it to us) disagreed.
So we sold it, after only having ridden in it about 50 times, for a serious loss and bought a Bates Caprilli (? I think) which is far more comfortable and has never given the Beau back problems.

In short - buy anything else!

Basically, in my experience, I disagree with everything above! I have found the Isabell very comfortable. My horse is very happy in it (it is the flock version, he loathed the Cair as did I). My leg has never been 'locked' in one position, and I have found it a great saddle to ride my very sharp youngster in. He is learning lateral movements extremely easily, so I guess there is no issue with me putting my leg back, forward, or anywhere else I choose to put it!

As with anything horse related, what suits one won't suit another. If you are considering buying one, then ask a saddler to bring a selection of saddles and see what suits you and your horse best, you will get such a diverse range of answers on a internet site as to render them completely useless to you.

I had one too (sold it last week in fact!) and loved it. Really nice saddle, very comfortable. Unfortunately it was too long for my new horse but I wouldn't hesitate to get another! Mine was a bargain, picked it up for £150

I've got one and me and my horse love it, as does my sharer! It gives me a nice deep seat and it keep my kids in as well, with their skinny little bottoms!
