Wintec Isabell

Finally got my Wintec Isabell saddle, arrived today hooray!!

What I want to ask, if there are any other Isabell users out there, what on earth is that really long strap thing that's attached to it (not the girth straps)?

As far as I know it is known as the third girth strap or over girth strap, to hold the saddle flap down...

It just does up over the girth, to keep the flaps down and out of the way, which allows your laeg to have a closer contact to the horse. I LOVE my Isabell Werth saddle, comfiest saddle I've ever had

Ditto FizzyBombBomb, ideally your girth should have a couple of loops on it to let the overgirth slip through. It doesnt have to be super tight, just enough to keep the saddle flaps close to horses sides. I love mine, comfiest saddle I have ever ridden in.

if you haven't ridden in one before you might find it a bit odd. I find mine really tips be forward and my legs flap about

I cut the third strap off my saddle. Found the saddle flaps stayed flat even without it though.

I did the same as it make it too awkward to do the girth up when I was on board.

Had to cut it off my other saddle as they were not long enough to go round my mare's tummy!

Love the saddles but do find the girth straps a little short.
