I suppose this should be in the tack section, but no one ever seems to read it soooo.
I have a Isabel Werth dressage saddle which fits horse very well.
Does this mean that any Wintec saddle will fit horse?
Do they all use the same tree or is this Isabel different.
Actualy looking for a 17.5/18" jump saddle.
Thanks

No idea, but my Cair Wintec VSD and 2000 both fit my lad. I think like all saddles Wintecs can be different, even if they are the same size and model. A saddle fitter is probably the best idea if you can.

All the standard wintecs are built on the same tree. the close contact has a slightly flatter seat.

The IW is a completely different tree than the standard 500/2000.

Best thing to do is get a saddler out with a range of saddles to try out so you can get the right combination of seat/flaps for you and make sure it fits the horse as well.

No, it doesn't. There is no guarantee that two brand new identical saddles will fit the same horse. Most saddles are hand made, and each one is slightly different.

The tree might be the same, but the isabelle didn;t fit Pip, exacty the same size and width Pro did...

Rolls, who have you tried? have you tried mrhsaddler at Redruth? he's very good.

Ah, OK, Good luck
