Hi there,

I have a Wintec Wide saddle for my completely flat backed cob and it's the best thing since sliced bread for him.

I want to double check it's got the right gullet in it, I know you can buy the gullet pincers checker thing for the normal Wintecs but does anyone know if you can get one for the Wintec Wide?

Thanks!

Don't think so, plus the wintec gullets are just a waste of space and completely inaccurate.

Best thing is to take the gullet out of the saddle and place it directly on the back, exactly where it would sit if inside the saddle. The flaired ends (the last 3" or so) should match his back profile perfectly.

If your horse needs a wintec wide, the gauge wont help. Follow as per Kallibears instructions or get a saddle fitter out.

I used the gauge on my horse and was astounded that he was off the scale.
