i hve a wintec, which came with my pony. not sure how old it is, but its in reasonable nick. it seems to make me sit too far back for some reason. i had a brand new wintec cair for another pony, and it did the same thing. i feel like i'm sitting too far back, but not sure if i am or not tbh. unfortunately i dont hve any pics. does anyone else feel this with wintecs? and if so, can the shape be changed?

I'm not a fan of them, life would be so much easier (and cheaper) if they fitted well. I haven't met anyone who's got one and the saddle fitter not told them to change it.

unfortunately, i have never had ones that fitted properly. the older ones (new came out last year) had a banana shaped tree, so you either sit too far back or too far forwards and get tipped forwards. i have tried the 2000 DR, 500 jumping, 500 gp, pro jump, and 2000 gp and they are all the same.
the new ones are mean't to be ok but i have found you can pick up albions at such a reasonable price and as they have a bigger drop panel seem to fit everything so well i have now stuck with thoughs.

just out of interest, is it cair or flock???? check it either way, that may help

i have a wintec 2000 gp and it fits fine and i can sit normally in it. i prefer my other saddle as the wintec isn't overly comfortable but it's fine for schooling, hacking etc and i don't think it alters my position.
mine has lasted pretty well too! i've used it most days for the last 5 years and it still looks like it did when i got it, except the girth straps (can't think what they're actually called) have stretched a bit now

I've owned a 500, a 2000 and now have two Wides. I found that if I did not concentrate on my position, the 500 and 2000 would allow me to slouch / sit back and still feel comfortable. I have to add I am a relatively new rider.

I am now using a Wide and find that because it is narrower in the twist, my position is OK and there is no temptation to sit back.
