So I am on the hunt for new winter boots. Im spending considerably more time outside now with the horses as now got 4 to do instead of 2. I've had 4 pairs of Dubarrys (over 9 years)& the original pair were by far the best quality, lasting best part of 7 years (younger replacements didnt fair so well) I have fleece lined Tuffa polos that are great & cosy but not for field or hard work & also Roscommons which are so handy but were bought in a sale as I wouldnt ever spent £199 on ankle boots. I was going to treat myself to good wellies Aigle Parcour Isos or Chameau Vierzonords but still cant quite part with that money for a welly, if truly endorsed I might. So after all that rambling.. Im on the look out for quality footwear that last & is waterproof, warm would be a bonus. What are the thoughts on Muck Artic or Grubb Frostline??

Bought a pair of Grubbs Frostline last winter after reading the reviews and would not buy another pair! Ended up with several holes at the ankles and sides after about a month of constant wearing.
Had Muckboots before that and do rate them but think the soles are wearing quicker than used to do. Still to find a decent pair, so will be watching with interest!

I have a pair of grubs iceline boots which I bought last February (2014) and they have been fantastic, not had to wear thick socks once and I am one for cold feet. I wear them daily, even some summer days, through mud and mucking out and have had no problems. They were quite stiff at first across the back of the heel but soon softened up after wearing. My friend had a pair of muck boots and they split within 2 weeks.

Muck boots every time. Spent a fortune on other boots until I finally went to muck boots and they are far superior and harder wearing than anything else I've found. I have the muck boot colt Ryders which they say you can ride in too (haven't riden in them myself).

I've owned 3 pairs of muck boots, my first pair were arctic pro which I wore constantly winter and summer for 4 years, great pair of boots that I finally wore out.
I've since had two more pairs of muck boots which I've been very disappointed in, first pair leaked from new and the replacement pair sent didn't see a year out before they split and cracked.
I personally wouldn't buy muck boots again.
Seems to me that the quality of muck boot wellington boots has deteriorated considerably.
Don't know what to buy next!

Based on my recent experience with a pair of Grubbs, I wouldn't get them again! Split across the heel within 3 weeks  warm and comfortable otherwise, but can't be dealing with soggy feet. Ardmoor were great about sorting a refund.

I've now opted for a pair of Skellerup Quatros. Its a bit early to say how good they'll be, but they're very comfortable and feel quite toasty!

I tried several pairs of muck boots and they split within a few months so I buy leather country boots and just look after them now and get a few good years out of them.

Currently have Shires Alessandro and love them do everything outside in them including riding in them sometimes, and they look really smart I just clean and condition them regularly and they are fine.

I have Quattro's new this year. They’ve replaced my Aigles which l love but thought l’d try something a tiny bit cheaper. Had to go down a size. The grip is excellent in wet / mud which was one of my ‘must haves’ they’re warm and easy to walk in, round and about and with the dogs. Maybe slightly on the heavy side but once they’re on you don’t notice.Edited to add l’m fairly sure they come with a guarantee.
