Winter coat and boot recommendations please

I've been searching for a decent winter yard coat for a few weeks and keep going around in circles. Last year I did use my dryrobe but it's so bulky. It needs to be long (I'm tall), warm and waterproof and work for yard, dog walking (if it looks good, then it'll work for watching rugby/hockey matches too).

Similarly, I need boots for turn out and walking. I had a pair of Le Chameau but they didn't last long. I would like something light, easy to take on and off but will keep me dry.

Would love some suggestions please.
 
I’ve ditched wellingtons as the quality has deteriorated so much and instead I bought a pair of Shires Eleonora leather yard boots last winter and they are brilliant. Lovely, warm and very sturdy, no more sweaty cold feet just dry toastie ones. I’ve worn them every morning this summer as well to get across dewy fields and walked miles in them with the dogs. Can’t fault them for the price which I think was around £70.
 
Aigle parcours wellies are not light but waterproof and neoprene lined so very warm therefore brilliant in the cold but not good if you need wellies in the warmer months . I’ve had coats from Kramer Equestrian and rate the quality and prices aren’t too high..
 
Have a look at Kramer, they have lots of coats of all shapes and sizes. You have to spend £40 as it comes from Germany but the quality is very good and the choice is brilliant.
 
Last winter I bought a Regatta waterproof coat in a sale: £30 reduced from £140. It is mid thigh length, and has not leaked all through last winter's rain. I bought a size bigger and layer up with a T shirt and a fleece. Very generous hood, although I did take the clippers to the fur trim. Have a look on line for last year's stock clearances.
 
I’ve had two pairs of Aigle Parcours, they’ve both lasted about ten years with constant wear, riding, walking, concrete floors etc. the pair I have now are just starting to perish but are still waterproof. Worth their weight in gold!

Second these 100 %. They're expensive, though, so deep breaths advised. ;) Otherwise I wear my leather hiking boots if mud isn't too bad. I do treat them with copious amounts of dubbin in the spring and autumn. I am quite tempted by the pink Reincoat, but the price does put me off when I could get a (badly fitting) hi viz long jacket for a tenner. Last winter I did wear my changing robe to ride in and it was bulky but glorious. So much so I bought a second so I have one for yard use.
 
Aigle Parcours are not light. I don’t wear mine unless absolutely necessary because of it. I’m surprised the Chameaus didn’t last though. I’ve a basic pair (not neoprene) which I had for nearly 10yrs and latest are 3 yrs but I prefer to wear Ariat Terrains more these days due to needing more support.

I love my Equidry and hack and walk the dog in it. As it can get quite hot when doing chores sometimes I wear a lighter thin waterproof underneath it so can put it on and off if say mucking out.

I don’t care about what I look like though as long as it’s warm and dry. I’m not sure I’d wear my stinky yard coat to a rugby match though ☺️

I purchased a pair of bareback boots (Kentucky storm) a few months ago and they are AMAZING. I'd been eyeing them up online, after seeing them on a Facebook advert, for a year and then, after a friend told me how much she loved hers, I bit the bullet and bought some. They don't need breaking in, and are super comfy from the first wear. I've walked through mud, streams, on long hilly walks, on the beach..... And I ride in them. They also look good with jeans and I cannot wait to literally live in them now the summer is over.
My feet stay warm and dry, but not sweaty. Wish I'd bought them years ago!!

But is it after a while? I’ve had mine for 3 winters now and definitely not as waterproof. I do re-proof from time to time.

I do love it but I’m thinking I might get a reincoat for wet days as I find the le mieux one very heavy to wear for yard jobs etc…it’s also snug so can’t get a body protector or anything under it!

Yep I have a short Kramer jacket for riding and it’s really good quality. The prices are very reasonable too!
 
I've had a little windfall so was thinking of a pink Raincoat as D is staying out this winter and faffing with waterproof trousers in a tiny car over my work wear seems silly when I could get a long coat I can also ride in. Worth it?

Are they waterproof, I'm so fussy with boots they need to have pretty wide toes which I'm yet to find.

I love Kramer they have such an interesting wide selection of stuff I'm often quite tempted to dress D up as an Icelandic or buy western bridles and saddle pads.
 
I got a hi viz pink equidry in small in their sale and so far I am pleased with it ,it's a bit big as they didn't have any xs left I think it was worth 99 . The back acts as an exercise sheet for bramble.

I’ve only had mine since last winter but I only wash it when really necessary and on a cooler wash so no problems yet anyway!
 
Worth doing a comparison of the reincoat and Equidry if you can find them in the same place. We were surprised at the difference in quality, reincoat don’t seem to be as waterproof as Equidry. it’s worth paying a little more.

Oh this is interesting as I’ve got both in my shopping baskets and undecided which to go for!
