Winter coats of the human variety

It is that time of year again when the winter coats are coming out (if they ever got put away!) i've been meaning to replace mine for a couple of years and the zip has finally bust giving me the final push I needed. So I was looking for some ideas for a waterproof blouson type day to day coat if anyone had any recommendations?

I have a Jack Murphy that I have owned since the year dot, and have worn/washed/worn/washed constantly with my horses and dogs. It is still in great condition, still waterproof, and was not very expensive. I also have a Bronte that is also good. Recommend the Jack Murphy highly.

I second Jack Murphy. I have a waterproof blouson jacket of theirs and it's great.

I was coat shopping yesterday and picked a lovely Parker probably less practical then the Musto I was torn between the two. Lots of lovely Musto ones and I tried a couple of Ariat ones too but they were all very noisy.

The oh bought me this one for my birthday and it's LOVELY. I've worn it a couple of times and I was cooking, can't wait to test it in the winter weather. Mostly I'll wear it for yard work ( horse is broken) but it would be good for riding as has big side splits.

Oooo good post I think I may need to invest in one, if money was no options Id be getting a Canadian Goose Parker but they cost just as much as my horse did haha
