Well we did the spillers comb. training today and his leg is fine [see previous post 'no dispensation]
He did quite a nice test but knew I didn't have a whip, there were two judges and one placed him forth and the other placed him seventh. He got 3 eights from one judge and one 8 from the other and they both gave him 8 for his walk which has always been his weak point so really pleased with that.
Then did the jumping it was quite a long course with two doubles ,he has never jumped on grass before and wasn't really going forward outside . He jumped the first fence really green then stopped at the second,I thought there was no way he was going to get round but then he got into gear and went round a bit unbalanced but he did really try he had two down out of the 13 fences but I was very pleased seeing all the set backs he has had and the three weeks box rest until last week. He just needs more miles on the clock. We are there again on Sunday for the blue chip ridng club team class so looking forward to that.We will start the jumping in earnest in a few weeks time when his leg is completely healed and he is fit enough to work properly.
Met up with bananaman, who has a lovely horse who did well I believe but maybe she will tell us more when she gets home
