I couldn't get through the winter without plastic trousers and plastic saddle cover.

The only winter purchase needed for my horse will be a big bag of Speedibeet.

OK- here goes...

Wooly hat/socks for me
Turnout boots for stick-legged poof
Need a new fleece for above mentioned poof (have plenty of other rugs which need to be cleaned - best get sorted)
Speedibeet.
New haynets- (get them ready night before to hang up quickly on dark mornings)
Industrial strength waterless groomer for above mentioned (grey) poof
Torch - (lights in yard are temperamental - had to muck out at 6.30am in the dark by the light of mobile phone wedged in haynet last year - never again)

Bubble bath and wine for me when arrive home from yard.

Fantasy: a roof on our arena
Farm tracks resurfaced to cover all the sharp rocks that have reappeared since this rain.

Reality: next 2 months dithering about which stable rug will be warm enough/poo proof enough for a grubby mare newly on rubber mats
Lots of lunging/round penning and weekly outings to indoor school on increasingly fresh madam!
