I posted a while back to get advice on my girls feed and got some very sound advice. I basically changed from a youngstock mix and chaff (not molasses free) to sure grow, just grass and speedibeet as the thoughts were the stud mix was too high energy as my girl seemed to be way too wired on this!
This winter as she will have very limited grazIng I had planned just to split her feed in 2 per day with obviously ample good quality hay.
I have just received an email from dOds and horrell saying I should feed mare and youngstock mix (worried it will fizz her up again!) alfalfa (isn't this for 'in work' horses)?
Do I really need to overhaul her feed completely?
