Winter Grazing/Grass Livery - Cheshire/South Manchester

Hi

I'm looking for grass livery / winter grazing for my retired TB gelding who lives out all year round. He's a bit of a loner and keeps himself to himself but does like the company of others - he's good with mares, youngsters etc.

I live in Hale, near Altrincham (Cheshire) so anything in that kind of area i.e. South Manchester/Airport/Wilmslow etc etc would be ideal - at the moment he's miles away which is starting to become a pain especially with the dark nights fast approaching! I'll be more than happy to pay for haylage etc in winter and will be checking on him daily, or happy for full grass livery if anyone can offer that?? All things considered!

TRY ARLEY MOSS FARM, its Near Arley Hall, which would be about 15 to 20 minutes from hale I guess.

They do grass livery for retired horses, youngstock, broodmares etc.

Depends what you are looking for. I second copper beeches for good retirement livery service, but if you're after more cheap, basic and close to home, there are a few fields in Hale near the Bulls Head. Total DIY there though.
