What a cr@p day in west wales today! it pouring with rain and so windy, it is winter! I am getting fed up of mud already!

And to make matters worse: over the last few days, when vigorously grooming my Section D, the short summer coat hairs are just beginning to come free. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaagghhh!!!!! If winter isn't actually here yet (glorious day yesterday!), then it's certainly letting us know it's just around the corner!

My girls coat is also coming loose so we're definitely on the slide......

Yes it is wet in Derbyshire too and not exactly tropical but my lad will have to brave it with no rug on as I refuse to put one on when he has a shelter to use if he wishes and still has flab to go! But he coat has started to come out though.

Me yearlings have their combo's on, and me two yr old and even sec a has his rug on, but the foalies are all tucked up in their straw beds!

Rainy and gross here - but I was swimming with mine yesterday in blazing heat.

Its this weather that gives them the sniffles isn'tit? Mine is out without a rug but he's definitely beginning to coat out again.

Its always over so quickly, but here's to snuggling them up in warm rugs, drinking tea at the yard to keep your hands warm, clipped horses snorting clouds of steam on a crisp day out hunting..
