Any top recommendations for comfortable, warm jodhpurs? (now that summer is definitely over!)

They’ll inevitably end up covered in mud, so cheaper the better!

I buy my summer jods (the balance riding tights) from here and they are really good quality for the price. They've just started doing water repellent ones.

The bondage ones 🙃? Do you get used to the feel of them 🤣?

I've just dug out a couple of pairs, still with their tags on, that I bought years ago. Must try actually wearing them. The Fouganza Kipwarm ones.

Yes - Fouganza Kipwarm

I only wear them riding in heavy rain. They are warm and comfortable but slightly restrictive.

I wear other waterproofs if not riding.

I also miss the full seat riding, but if it’s that wet Fouganza Kipwarm are very waterproof, and warm with fleece lining.

That's them! Fleecy on the inside so as long as you can get used to the fake leather look they're great.

Plus there's nothing sexy about fake leather with mud & smelly green splashes all over them 🤣🤣

Bondage jodhpurs?????, please do tell.

I'm old-skool, layered tights, jods, waterproof chaps, but I do so like knowing stuff.

I've had some for years now, that came from Gold Star Equestrian via Amazon. I look a bit of a prat because there's shiny silicone on the knees* but very cheap & very warm.

*I thought they were cheap enough that the silicone would come off after a few washes but it is disappointingly tenacious and VERY shiny.

This is such a timely thread as having managed to lose in the house my only pair of winter jods and getting soaked this morning I am going to have to buy some.

I have a couple of pairs of Harry Hall water resistant softshell breeches that I got in their sale last year. They are nice and warm and comfortable.

What's the sizing like for these please?

I bought the 28" ones which they say fit a 30" waist and they fit me nicely. I'm usually between a 28" and 30" waist. They are too long on me, but I'm only 4ft 10. I just turn up the legs a bit.

I have a cream pair (normal looking) and a black pair (bondage style - I do not wear the black ones). They were out of stock in cream for ages but if you can get those instead of black they are much less embarassing.

Oh yes, I fully agree with this! I bought a DoPo one last year based on HHO recommendations and love it so much.

Me too! DoPo is brilliant. Would 110% recommend her skirts. I wear mine for walking in too, it just about reaches the tops of my wellies and is so much warmer and better than waterproof trousers.

I have a navy blue pair, which are also not so bad as the black ones (and don't show the mud like the cream ones).

🤣🤣🤣

Tight fitting faux leather look, I find the feel of them really creepy. Mine are nowhere as flattering as the ones that this model is wearing, either! But I must try wearing them properly for yard duties and see how I get on with them.

When the weather is so bad that I ride in them, I tend to have a coat on that is at least mid length. Plus I either ride in half chaps / long boots. So very little of the actual breeches is visible so they look fine. Plus they look more normal when a bit mud spattered.

They are too warm for anything other than cold wet days.

Totally agree with all this....the black ones only come out when the weather's vile and I'm getting desperate. And to be honest, I'm not even vaguely presentable by then anyway, so a pair of bondage trousers becomes the least of my worries.

Another in the 'by the time I've mucked out and hacked out for a few hours my black Kipwarm's don't resemble bandage trousers at all' camp.

Disclaimer: I do own PVC fashion trousers (not for any extra curricular purposes but just so I don't have to fake tan my legs mid winter when going out🥂🙈) so there's a small chance they do and I'm just used to it but I'm fairly certain they don't 🤣
