Winter kit to keep you warm & dry? What do you recommend?

Any recommendations for gloves that are water and wind proof for riding? That dont cost the earth!

My collection of Musto coat, Arena coat so waterproof and I can layer up underneath it, bright red so easily seen.
Training Jacket fleece lined and snuggly, I wear this most days in the winter.

Noble Winter soft shell breeches, nice and warm and the grippy bits actually work.
Noble snug top, combines snugglyness with a scarf, ideal for hacking.

just need to find the warm socks now!

If it's just hacking out and you aren't needing precision hands and feel, the Aldi gloves I bought two weeks ago are comfy,warm and waterproof. I can't do all the gates wearing them,too numb for that, but cost less than a tenner IIRC. Wish I had bought a few pairs now.

I have some thermal leggings and tops from Lidl - they were part of their ski range. They're fantastic and were cheap as chips. Warm, not in the slightest bit bulky so don't ruck up or wrinkle and good colours. In the Autunm / Spring i wear the tops under T-shirts so the sleeves show and they look really nice. I think Crivit is the brand name.

The aldi ones are out of stock. Try and find the sealskin riding ones on offer, are good.

My winter favourites are:
Musto snug jods
Musto fleece lined breeches (I don't think they make these anymore)
Mark Todd winter riding gloves for riding
Sealskinz gloves for yard work
Fleece neck tube - need to be a snug fit so that I can pull them up over my face when riding and they stay up
Premier Equine winter coat bought in the sale a couple of years ago

When hunting in very cold weather I wear:
Mountain horse base layer leggings under my jods (the matching top is great too)
Thermatex waistcoat under my hunt coat - one of best ebay bargains

heatholder socks are my lifeline as my feet gp numb in the cold without them.....also mountain horse gloves, they are quite bulky but warm and waterproof...
