Because they (and we

) don't always look summertime beautful, here's a few of our horses in today's cold:

(please excuse blurry pics - taken on my phone)

Lance (show pony

And this one just because it was so cold today:

Thanks for looking.

Please post your own woollies!....

How lovely. Adore Queenie but I love older horses. Watering them this weather is hard work isn't it? but don't kids just thrive in the cold?

Thank you rollin. Queenie is always everyone's favourite and yes, best thing for children. They spent a full hour today just jumping on and off the hay bales and filling eachother's clothes with straw - got to beat Bob the Builder any day

I love those pics!!! Lance looks like a saint! Holz puts on a very disdainful look if children enter her space lol

Kids on the yard are loving the impromptu ice rink and are sliding around having a whale of a time.

Very. Very. Cute. I need to get some kids to stand on our frozen over waterers so they become cute. Our troughs are never even close to that adorable when they are frozen over!!!!

Fab pics! Thanks! I agree with Volatis that Hamlet is looking so grown up! Our two boys still look like little wooly babies! And I now feel very mean seeing as Hamlet is all rugged up and our monsters are naked! LOL!

I'm glad it's not just me who thinks Hamlet's big! He's only 7.5 months eek! Haven't measured him recently but Roger's 5'11" stood next to him

Anastasia - I love the showing pic. Unfortunately Ols only really wants to be doing gymkhanas, fancy dress and tot polo. Harry my youngest even less likely to enjoy showing. So I think it's going to be my one and only lead rein showing pic. Still, I wouldn't mind a couple of handsome low goal sons!!

hehe I love the difference in little one's face between the going out for a ride and coming back. He looks like a frozen popsicle, but a happy one! Nice to see them all togged up and enjoying themselves, good for me too in this horrible miserable weather to do some swooning over Hamlet

Your boys are just so cute. I love the one of them standing on the frozen water trough. You'll be able to show that to their future girlfriends and watch them go bright pink.

Hamlet does look a big boy and Heidi is in show condition! How is she managing to look like that in this weather? Queenie looks serene, it will be lovely to see her new foal when he/she arrives.

Roll on Spring!

Thank you for all the lovely comments.

Stolensilver - I think Heidi's secret is to generally not worry about a thing and tuck in well! - and yes, most definitely roll on Spring!
