D1, D2 and I have all had Muckboots, which are wonderfully warm :D, but mine and D1's have split and are no longer waterproof :(, though still very warm :D.

Bought D2 some Dubarry's for her Birthday, so she's said we can use her Muckboots :D, but that still leaves us a pair short...

My fat calves don't yet fit the Dubarry Clares, which are the ones I'd really like :(.

D1 doesn't like any of the Dubarrys. She gets ridiculously cold feet, although the Muckboots do keep her feet warm.

Soooooooooooo, what boots are warm and waterproof and will stand up to daily use?

If for D1, she has skinny legs, and if for me, well, I don't lol

I'm a cheapskate and but wellies a size too big and lots of thick socks. You can also buy footwarmers! I then just stick the footwarmers in the boots, and wear as many socks as I can. Preferably having had the socks on the radiator before I put them on... then my feet stay really toasty warm which is a miracle as I have very cold feet normally!

hey sorry if i get this totally wrong after all am a total newbie but ive just bought a set of mark todd winter fleace lined riding boots and i love them waterproof and warm

hope this helps

Ariat Brossards. If you're throwing enough money around to buy doobries...

Bedbug tried a pair of the shorter ones on yesterday and has just informed me they are the comfiest boots she has ever worn... Buy them in short and long versions.

I'm looking forward to using my Ariat Icebergs this winter, also really want some Ariat Grasemeres from all the good reviews I'm hearing from people!

I love my mountain horse rimfrost riders they are lovely and warm, even without a thick pair of socks.

For cold and wet weather, my OH swears by her Ariat Grasmere's and I practically live in my Mark Todd winter riding boots.

My OH feels the cold badly and HATES having cold hands and feet, so if she says her boots are warm, you can take it they are warm.

I know you're asking about boots, but here's a tip about gloves. Ladies motorcycle gloves are designed to keep the cold out and fit smaller 'ladies' hands. I have ridden motorcycles all my adult life, my OH discovered winter motorcycle gloves last year when she found some brand new Alpine Star gloves in a local charity shop, of course she never thought to ask me what I wear on my bike in winter

Another vote for Ariat Grassmeres, had mine for about 7 yrs, they have been used and abused, by daughters and me, we a have varying degrees of calf dimensions and they fit all of us (fortunately, or should I say unfortunately we all have the same size feet, so I lose my boots on a regular basis:()

Ariat Grasmeres, I don't know how they do it but they are toasty warm in winter and yet cool in spring and autumn. I never get freezing toes in them, that's a first. Well worth the dosh, and lace-up-able to fit calves both skinny and less so...!
Also, they are as comfy as slippers. They're one reason why I'm not dreading winter, funnily enough!

I get those timberland kind of boots and wear leg warmers and thermal socks with them :D
Bought my pair of boots and leg warmers last week Just need some nice thick thermal socks :D
Got them in the sales for 17€ instead of 40€ :D get a pair every winter :D Probably not the most fashionable kind of boots but they are heaven, waterproof and really good in snow aswell as being padded and having a nice thick rubber sole :) I actually think they look nice with jods or jeans.

Exactly like these but a bit less bulky (don't like bulky boots in stirrups)

I ve got the Ariat Grasemeres and they are superbly comfortable, cool in summer warm in in winter, however the laceing system annoys me and the price is horrendous. I have seen some very nice nubuck mountain horse ones in the local tack shop for £78 and they are supposed to be waterproof too, pretty much same design as the rimfrost riders which I bought for years and that were also superb.
