Hello lovely people....

Can anyone suggest a winter riding coat, that's like the Musto ZP training coat in style (hip sort of length) but thats slimmer fitting, needs to be wind & waterproof, something to really cope with the elements but not at all bulky?

Am I looking for the impossible? I'm sure I've seen people wearing them? Ideally in navy blue & needs to be small... I'm a size 6 on top & really struggle with coats, my musto snugs in xs are too baggy if I'm schooling/jumping (I loathe feeling over cluttered by bagginess... Much prefer to layer & I've struggled to find a properly winter proof coat that I like!

Thanks v much!!

Love my Mark Todd jacket, I would have posted a link but theWestgate website is down. Anyway, mine is navy, waterproof, wind proof, silky padded (but not thick) lining, plenty of pockets, two way zip, riding vents, has a hood, hip length. Had mine about three years now, I love it, it's still waterproof too!

I have the Townend Tie Performance Coat which is only lightweight but it has been brilliant.

I'm coveting the Townend Imperial Performance Jacket which I think is warmer although I can't actually find any reference to the weight of it now!

It's not a horsey make, so inevitably is a bit cheaper! I picked mine up in a sale for about £100, it's a northface tri climate, really waterproof and wind proof and comes with a detachable puffa jacket that zips inside for layered warmth or can be worn on it's own. I live mine and use it for everything. Cotswolds, go outdoors, blacks, or online outdoorsy sites do them,

I recently bought a Puffa jacket which is warm but fitted with good freedom of movement. Only drawback is that it isn't waterproof but I really like it for riding in.
