Since a Horse at my old livery tore my medium Amigo to shreds, I need a new medium to replace it.

I quite like the Shires highlander combo

Has anyone ever heard of the make Chilton?

Or do I go with another Amigo?

personally for me its either weatherbeeta (freestyle versions with shoulder darts) or rambo/rhino. I like the look of new Weathrbeeta Apex 400g detchaneck, they also do the Orican which is 360g.

Shires or amigo! Just bought a shires medium combo for £45 in the sale and it fits my boy fab! Really not keen on weatherbeetas as they are so restricting on the shoulder.

Rambo :) all the way. Or if on a budget then Rhino.

What size are you after? ;) I have a couple of 6'3" Rambo plus' for sale (one med, one HW) that my boy has outgrown.

Ummmm i have same problem! My medium Amigo literally has around 20 patches on it from last year! Lol and i'm contemplating buying the neddy a new medium rug too.

I must say i have a medium plus from premier equine... its the best quality rug i own but it was also the most expensive too (altho was in the sale!).

I'd go for either Amigo Hero or Premier Equine. I got a medium weight Amigo last winter and added the RamboDuo liners when she needed a little extra warmth. It was fab through all the torrential rain we had so my other two are getting one each this year too.

I went for the Shires in the end as found a lovely medium combo on sale.

I loved my Amigo as even in the heaviest rain and wind, she was always bone dry and toasty warm underneath. When the grass started running out (we fed hay instead) thats when the herd leader started getting bored and he kept going for her. Done so much damadge the rug company quoted me £20 to fix. Might aswell just get another and keep that for a spare.

I've just bought my boy a h/w t/o weatherbeeta Orican, and a weatherbeeta belmont m/w stable and h/w stable combo :D

they fit really well as he is a broad ISH and I found his Amigo l/w is a bit snug around the chest.

I love the Rambo rugs, but have always rated the Amigo ones too. Check Hope Valley Saddlery website, they often have some really good deals on rugs (and stock loads of different makes!) - Note I have nothing to do with this company, but have used them a few times and always been impressed!
